63- SPNTC Meetings Good

This last week we had Trustees come from each of the five nations where we have ‘campuses’ for the ‘South Pacific Nazarene Theological College’. This is a very unique Theological College for the Church of the Nazarene, in that we do not operate out of any central campus. We have one president and five principles, one in Samoa, one in Fiji, one in Vanuatu, one in Solomon Islands and one in Micronesia. This is an exciting time for SPNTC as we push into new territory asking God how to do this better than we ever have. We are working across the Islands of the Pacific Ocean with many different cultures, many languages and many levels of academic background for our students. Some of those students have Masters Degrees and some have zero education, cannot read or write and little exposure to civilization… what an awesome challenge as God is leading the way on how to equip these students with solid basics for launching into ministry as God’s Kingdom continues to march inexorably toward the ends of the earth and each of us are privileged to be a part. Please continue to especially pray for James Johnson, our FSC for these two Fields.

Actually I just got home to Fiji into the wake of Cyclone ‘Gene’ which went directly over Fiji but fortunately only reached category 2. My flights in were delayed and once getting in I ran into 3 to 4 feet of water covering the only road home so at this point my truck is stranded in Nadi and I took a small plane across the island and got home from the other side. This is day 5 without electricity but all is ok.
This last week in New Guinea was an absolutely incredible time of watching God move in the setting of a HUGE camp-meeting tent with about 500 pastors and their wives from across this very hostile land. Dr. Middendorf (General Sup.) and Rev. Verne Ward (Regional Dir.) joined us for the privilege of seeing God do what only God can do! Thank you for praying.
Continue to pray for our South Pacific Nazarene Theological College, board of Trustee meetings which are this next week here in Fiji.
Also pray for us as we finalize the launching of a new web site tying in all missionaries, ministries, information, prayer requests, projects etc. for the South Pacific and Melanesia Field family of Nazarenes.
