#76 Hard work on G3

One of the things I discovered about nine years ago with the beginning of what we called the ‘FIJIBOAT PROJECT’ which quickly became absorbed into the larger of what we call ‘NAZARENE MARITIME MINISTRIES’ here in the South Pacific… is that it would entail a lot of hard work. A whole lot of hard work! Never ending hard work…
so what? Doesn’t anything on earth worthwhile require exactly that?
Reality in my world where Maritime is only a part, is that sometimes it piles up though forcing me to juggle things and make decisions as to what has highest priority.
Well if you know much about ocean going vessels, you know that you better not juggle away ongoing maintenance and upkeep for very long or you’ll find yourself unable to catch back up - never mind upgrading or improving things! Enter Tom and Randy! Two great guys who just finished almost two weeks here of exhausting 10 hour days where they gave me all they had flat out… and the result is huge!!
We finally actually have a proper, functioning, private toilet on the motor vessel Galilean II. We now have a ‘windless’, which is capable of automatically deploying the anchor and chain in an emergency with the push of a button, we now have a commercial grade spinning windshield wiper on the center windscreen which is worth everything if your caught in a blowing storm at sea because it gives you the ability to see what you’re dealing with! And the list goes on!! Mostly this removes a heavy burden in my mind of important things that I couldn’t see getting to in the foreseeable future and suddenly there’s real light at the end of that tunnel… THANKS SO MUCH TOM AND RANDY!!
